Kaiyu Lin is an artist and researcher working with the intersection between contemporary dance and physics with both educational certifications.

She has been researching on intersections between the notions of visualizing from atoms to the universe: The universe can be explored from a microscale to a cosmic scale and how human perception fit in.

She is fascinated by dismantling/transforming the paradigmatic methodology between dance and science and opposes the binary opposition between science and art. The mediation between nature and its mysteries between dance and science has been concerned by Kaiyu.

Recently, she has been selected as Young Artists in the National Taichung Theater LAB X platform for interdisciplinary arts exchange & development: The Young Artists' Atelier in 2020, an artist for“Unboxing: Live Art Arena” in 2021, and her project and research, the“Dream of the Great Unification Theory” combined with a scientific experimentation stage performance, which is ongoing from 2021.

She was also selected as one of the Taiwanese representatives for the Critical Path x Taiwan Contemporary Culture Lab (C-LAB) collaboration and the Physical Futures – Australia and Taiwan Choreography Exchange Program 2023-2024 (Year 2) Digital Enchantment Lab, which explores digital experimentation in choreography alongside discussions on data sovereignty and cultural sensitivity.
